Windsurfing: felixstowe dip
Wind Direction: ENE
Wind Stength: F2/3
Surf / Sea State: Flat
Air Temperature:
Sea Temperature: Ok
Weather: Sunny
Max Speed: 10kts (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 6 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

First time out since Nov and alas the wind died as I rigged from top end F4 to F2. The guys who arrived earlier had a great hour or 2 on dead flat water. 6 or so sailors on fin were blasting so thought 7.8 but Andy came and said go 8.5. Took the 3rd sail out 9.2 phantom plugged to a 147 SB ultrasound with a 60 cm fin. I was close to pumping up to plane but unfortunately the wind dropped again on the outgoing tide to around 8kts. Most of the fin sailors came in to fit foils. Colesy rigged 8.x and formula with foil and blasted off down wind burning past me doing 15 to 20kts in 8kts of wind. Andy's first attempt was good as he was getting loads of lift but flipping the bd sometimes. Mike and Simon were also flying. Foils Def trumps fins in less than f4 especially as the dip was as calm as a pond. Still not bothered about foils yet, but too many no sail days like this could change that!
